SSO in ActiveEye
The difference between local user authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO)
Local user authentication is the default method used to log in to ActiveEye. In that method, you log in to ActiveEye using a username and password unique to ActiveEye.
Optionally, SSO can be set up, which simplifies ActiveEye login for users. Instead of creating a separate username and password to access ActiveEye, SSO allows users to log in using existing company credentials. SSO improves user experience and productivity, and reduces password resets.
Setting Up SSO in ActiveEye
If you would like to set up SSO, you can work with ActiveEye to establish the necessary authentication between your company’s identity provider (IdP), which holds the identity information and can authenticate the user, and ActiveEye.
